The Top 10 Baby Items to Bring With You Post-Pandemic
As you’re heading out the door this summer with your baby or toddler for perhaps one of your first outings during the Pandemic, it’s important to feel comfortable with your surroundings and knowing that you have all the necessary essentials with you at your fingertips to feel safe and prepared.
Although experts caution against overstuffing your bags with too many items that could potentially be exposed to contaminants, we also think it’s important to have what you need in your diaper bag. Even if you are leaving your home for a short period of time, our top 10 list of “comfort items” to have with you on the go include:
- Baby wipes for baby and disinfectant wipes for surfaces and hands
- Hand Sanitizer
- Formula/baby food or snacks
- Toy (s)
- Water bottle for mom
- Your mask (and one for baby too if older than 2)
According to CNBC.com Health and Wellness experts, it’s important to be strategic about the timing of your outings. First, take an inventory of what you need at the drug store, grocery store, gas station, restaurant, etc. That way you can “do as much as you can while you’re out, so you don’t have to go back out several times.” Georgis Benjamin, a physician and the executive director of the American Public Health Association, tells CNBC, and plan to run your errands and outings during off-peak hours so you’ll be around fewer people.
As as you do begin to venture out, don’t forget to clean and disinfect toys and other items you brought with you upon arriving home.
